Relationship between diploma policies and this course
A) A high degree of specialized expertise 100%
B) The skills to use science and technology 0% C) The ability to conduct research independently, knowledge pertaining to society and occupations, and sense of ethics required of engineers and researchers 0% D) Creative skills in specific areas of specialization 0% Goals and objectives
In the field of molecular biology and biotechnology including industrial application, a number of the attempt to understand the organisms of interest and the attempt to utilize them have been advanced. For the therir objecive, we will understand the potentials of enzymes which contribute to their properties, and we will utilize the functions of enzymes directly or indirectly.
We will share several examples of the attempts such as enzymes or proteins in this course, and comprehensive understanding toward the examples will help you to interpret your studies widely or deeply. Prerequisites
To complehensively understand the relationships between functions and structures of enzymes and proteins,
it is preferable that students have general concepts about structures and characteristics of proteins and amino acid residues that are involved in catalytic reactions and substrate recognition, based on lectures such as Molecular Biology, Enzyme chemistry, Genetic Engineering, and Applied Microbiology. Method Using AL・ICT
Group Work

自分の研究に関する酵素があれば、多くの文献を読み、どのような方法で、どんなことがわかってきているのか、貪欲に調べてほしい。そして、その一端を授業内で共有して、私も皆さんと同様に知識が広がっていければと思います。
