Class schedule
1. Explanation of the outline of this course, positioning of the course in unit operations, and fluid dynamics I (Statics)
2. Fluid dynamics II (Continuity equation and Bernoulli's equation) 3. Fluid dynamics III (Application of Bernoulli's equation) 4. Fluid dynamics IV (Laminar flow) 5. Fluid dynamics V (Turbulent flow) 6. Fluid dynamics VI (Energy loss and pressure drop with pipe friction) 7. Fluid dynamics VII (Velocity distribution of turbulent in pipe flow) 8. Fluid dynamics VIII (Lifting head of pumps using complicated piping 9. Special lecture for the interim report 10. Particle technology I (Classification of dispersion system, motion of a single particle, terminal velocity) 11. Particle technology II (Unsteady motion of a particle, inertial impaction) 12. Particle technology III (Brownian diffusion, diffusional deposition) 13. Particle technology IV (Particle statistics) 14. Comprehensive reviewing of the course 15. Checking of the course Evaluation
Students must be submit an interim reports during the term and a short test solved by themselves at the end of every class, and take a term-end exam. Finally, they must get 60% and more of the total score (150 p.) composed of the interim reports (50 p.), the short tests (50 p.) and the term-end exam (50 p.) to earn two credit of the course.
