Goals and objectives
On completion of this course, students should be able to :
・ Read and understand the context of the area, point out resources and problems, and evaluate them
・ Read and understand various kinds of documents by public sectors
・ make the concept and draw the future image for increasing resources and solving problems
・ make the strategy for realizing the future image with time series
・ discuss and work in the group communicating with each other

Phase 1 : Survey, analysis, and evaluation
01) Guidance and input of basic information of the area
02) Case study of revitalization policies for central area and downtown plans
03) Survey using documents and data
04) Planning of field survey and field survey

Phase 2 : Making the future image and planning
05) Presentation of field survey and discussion
06) Combining field survey output with document and data survey output
07) Making future concept (workshop)
08) Presentation of future concept
09) Making plan for each field and overall plan
10) Presentation of future plan

Phase 3 : Consideration of strategy for realizing the plan
11) Consideration of methods for realizing the plan
12) Consideration of time series for realizing the plan
13) Reviewing of the course

Phase 4 : Final Presentation
14) Making final products and presentation

Message for students
都市デザイン分野研究室所属の学生には必須であるが、それ以外の学生にとっても、これまでには経験したことのないスケール感の計画を考えたり、作成したりする良い機会であり、履修を奨励する。
グループ運営はとても難しいと思うが、それを乗り越えて良い成果を出すことが、社会に出てからも大いに役立つと考えている。
授業前日や当日に慌てて作業するのではなく、計画的に作業を進める習慣も身につけてほしい。
