Structure of the class
The class will be based on face-to-face (classroom face-to-face, field survey), but remote class (zoom) will be combined as needed. The class will be divided into the first half and the second half. In the first half (session 1), we will learn about the urban design approach of changing an area through large-scale urban development. In the second half (session 2), students will learn about urban design approaches that change streets through small-scale development and streetscape formation by street stores, as well as large-scale development. In the first session, we will learn the basic methods, followed by a literature survey to prepare for the field survey. We will also conduct a field survey to experience the urban space of each area and understand the results of urban design. Finally, students will write a report on their findings and make a presentation. The details of the meeting time and place for the field survey will be given during the guidance. Students will be assigned the responsibility for researching literature for the field survey at the time of guidance. Grade evaluation
· Presentation and final report submission is necessary condition for credits acquisition. · Evaluation points: emphasis on the number of attendance, emphasis on the number of presentations of the report contents at class hours, participation in discussion. Feedback for students
