Goals and objectives
The aim of the course is to learn practical video signal processing skills. Firstly basic theories are lectured. Student apply the theories to the practical images and videos with computer programs to understand them deeply. In addition, as the latest technology, learn the basics of interpolation of 3D images and multi-viewpoint images.

1.Acquisition of digital filter frequency characteristic calculation method
2.Understand the basics of image processing program creation and video processing
Prerequisites
On completion of this course, the student should have knowledge and experience below.
1.C and Python programing skills are suggested.
2.Participants understand the mathematics of undergraduate level

Class schedule
1. Basics of image 1: characteristics of light, imaging and display
2. Basics of image 2:Digitization of RGB signal and YUV signal, image signal
3. Waveform and frequency transform
4. The sampling theorem, discrete fourier transform, discrete cosine transform
5. Frequency transform of image signal
6. Multi-view image
7. Image processing program
8. Hands on image processing program: Noise reduction, High definition
9. Hands on image processing program: Sharpening, interaploation, tone mapping
10. Hands on image processing program: Frequency transform
11. Hands on image processing program: Camera work
12. Hands on image processing program: Multi-view image
13. Hands on image processing program: Interpolation of multi-view image
14. Assignment programs
15. Submitting assignment programs and wrap up
Content will be changed according to the understanding degree of students

Depending on the number of participants, etc., it may be changed to face-to-face.

Evaluation
Students must submit all programs within two weeks after every class. Evaluations will be done the quality of the programs and image/video processing results. Pass over evaluation D or higher.
Feedback for students
Feedback will be given in the lecture to the whole. It will be carried out individually at KU-LMS.
