By the end of the course students must be able to discuss the content of input (listenings/readings) and offer their interpretation for discussion (students must also be able to give a short oral presentation); students must be able to write a well-structured short paper. The course will be conducted in English.

ディスカッション・ディベート／プレゼンテーション

This course will utilize an integrated skills approach. It will include analyzing materials for content and meaning utilizing the theories presented in class, orally reporting on the content discovered in the materials and discussing and explaining the points of view derived from the themes and theories in the materials, and writing short reports and papers explaining the materials covered and expressing interpretations of said materials.The goal of this class is to improve your ability in English across the four skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) and to further develop the global hodological maps. To do this your participation in the class is essential. This means that you must be an active member of the class. You must concentrate fully on all the tasks in class.

Grades will be determined through the quality of the students course work(50%) and their participation(50%).

Feedback will be given verbally in class.
