Goals and objectives
This course examines the fundamental human and social conditions that form the foundation of architectural planning and explores planning methods derived from these conditions. From a social perspective, architecture is shaped by societal needs; the emergence and development of each type of facility are socially conditioned. Accordingly, the course does not focus solely on building typologies or on the organizations that operate them, but rather on the broader system that encompasses both.
Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the characteristics and needs of users, recognizing the social role of architecture, and developing knowledge essential for design practice. Topics include dimensional planning, spatial scale and form, and methodological approaches to architectural planning and design.
