This course covers database design and the use of databases in applications, with a short introduction to the internals of relational database engines. It includes extensive coverage of the relational model, relational algebra, and SQL for Big Data.
Prerequisites
In this course, students are expected to have the willingness to learn database technologies independently and to have a basic understanding of relational databases.

Class schedule
This course is conducted in a seminar format as follows.
Each session, students create explanatory materials and use them as the basis for leading the lecture.
