Relationship between diploma policies and this course
A) A high degree of specialized expertise 100%
B) The skills to use science and technology 0%
C) The ability to conduct research independently, knowledge pertaining to society and occupations, and sense of ethics required of engineers and researchers 0%
D) Creative skills in specific areas of specialization 0%
Goals and objectives
Understand the relationship between architecture and acoustics, acquire basic acoustic techniques, and apply them to actual problems.
The goal is to be able to understand the phenomenon of sounds around us rather than understanding complex sound calculations.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of elementary mathematics such as logarithms and trigonometric functions.
Interest in the sounds or music around yourself.
Method Using AL・ICT

Class schedule
1.Introduction (1 time):Consider the relationship between human and acoustics, the relationship between architecture and acoustics.
2.Understand sound propagation inside the room.
2.1Computer simulation (2 times): Understand geometric acoustic theory, wave acoustic theory and prediction method based on it.
2.2 Acoustic model experiment (2 times): Room sound field prediction method using scale model Understand wave motion acoustic analysis.
3.Understand the problems and methods of sound environment design.
3.1 Evaluation of indoor sound field (2 times): Understand the evaluation method of indoor sound field represented by reverberation.
3.2 Speech information transmission (twice): Know problems and solutions regarding clarity and privacy protection.
3.3 Sound insulation (1 time): Understand the principle and method to prevent the intrusion of noise.
4. Understand the design method for each typical building type.
4.1Sound environment design of school facilities (3 times)
5.Conclusion, confirmation of learning outcome (1 time)

Evaluation
Evaluation will be based on the overall score of the report and the content of the discussion during the lecture. The ratio is 1:1, and a grade of D or higher on a 6-point scale from A+ to F is considered a pass. Since we review and summarize important points in class, attendance is essential. Attendance of more than 50% of classes is required.
Feedback for students
Oral commentary will be given in class.

Message for students
