Goals and objectives
The performance of turbomachinery has been improved drastically by applying fluid dynamics. In this course, the operating principle and structure of the major fluid machines are introduced, and commentaries based on the fluid dynamics are made. Furthermore, the relationship between the flow instabilities such as the cavitation and the rotating stall generated in the turbomachines with the high revolution number and the performance characteristics is also discussed.
Prerequisites
It is expected to study "Fluid Mechanics".
