In recent years, various global and urban-scale environmental problems such as global warming, heat island phenomenon, resource depletion become more serious. This course provides the knowledge about these problems and present energy systems in urban and region for thinking about the future of those energy systems.
On completion of this course, student should be able to: ・Have an awareness of present major global environmental problems. ・Have an awareness of basic energy systems. ・Have an awareness of regionally energy use. ・Have an awareness of energy management. Prerequisites
It is desirable to take the undergraduate classes "Planning of Regional Living Environment" and "Urban Environment and Infrastructures". In addition, students who are conscious and interested in various global environmental issues in recent years, and who are willing to actively acquire such knowledge should attend the course.
